TTTech and Dibotics have teamed up to integrate Dibotics’s augmented lidar solution with TTTech’s MotionWise software platform.
MotionWise is already part of the zFAS piloted control platform used in the current Audi A8 and several Volkswagen Group models.
Believing that lidar solutions are crucial for tackling safety-related perception tasks for self-driving cars, TTTech identified Dibotics’s augmented lidar technology to ensure the perfect integration of MotionWise and lidar solutions.
Dibotics is providing a real-time 3D lidar processing solution, including precise localisation/ego-motion, 3D mapping system, point-wise classification, obstacle detection and tracking and multi-lidar fusion capabilities.
“The first self-driving cars are widely forecast to be on the market between 2019 and 2021. Any navigation and communications equipment used on board will have to fulfil the highest possible standards on safety, integrity and accuracy.”
“TTTech is a trusted partner of major OEMs and Tier 1s, with an impressive track record with its embedded software platform,” said Raul Bravo, CEO of Dibotics. “Its focus on series-proven solutions is a perfect fit with our solutions.”
