High-performance lidar solutions provider, AEye has named Matt Fisch as the company’s new CEO and as a member of its board of directors. The appointment will be effective from February 13, 2023. In his new position Fisch will be responsible for heading up the commercialization of AEye’s product portfolio in a range of markets.
Fisch replaces previous CEO Blair LaCorte who departed the company in December 2022. LaCorte will continue with AEye as a member of the AEye Advisory Board.

Fisch brings his deep and broad technical expertise to AEye, having held multiple positions in the automotive sector. His previous positions include vice president of R&D at Harman International Industries, and most recently, he held senior vice president and chief technical officer positions at Gentherm, a U$1.1bn developer of thermal management technologies. There, Fisch led the company’s transformation to align with the electrification of the automotive industry and the shifting value proposition to software and systems.
Beyond the automotive sector, Fisch previously held the position of executive vice president of global engineering at Verifone. He also spent 22 years at Intel as general manager of Android and Windows software engineering, where he led software product development and deep technical partnerships with Apple, Google and Microsoft across mobile computing, cellphone, tablet and consumer product lines.
