Inceptio Technology announced today that its autonomous trucks have driven more than 200,000,000km in commercial operations. This achievement sets a new benchmark within the sector and doubles the 100,000,000km milestone attained at the end of April 2024.
Over 2,000 Inceptio-powered trucks are deployed in the fleets of China’s top logistics companies. They operate daily along major routes across China. Data has shown a 20-50% reduction in labor costs along with a 3-7% improvement in fuel efficiency – all of which translates to estimated annual saving of 6,000 liters of diesel and a reduction of 15.8 tons of CO2 emissions per truck.
A joint study by Inceptio and Chinese insurance company CPIC found that Inceptio’s trucks performed 75-99% better than human-operated trucks across a range of safety indicators. Furthermore, drivers report enhanced comfort and safety while operators are seeing fleet-attendance rates improve significantly, with an increase in monthly kilometers per truck as large as 10%.
“Surpassing 200,000,000km of safe, autonomous commercial operations is an extraordinary achievement that showcases the transformative power of our technology,” said Julian Ma, founder and CEO of Inceptio Technology.
The milestone caps off a year of remarkable growth for Inceptio, which included major deliveries to logistics companies including STO Express, YTO Express, Yunyi Transport, Huatai Logistics and a landmark 400-autonomous-truck delivery to ZTO Express. In September, Inceptio also powered the launch of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle’s Hi-Truck Tianlong Autonomous GX/KX Series, which come pre-loaded with the Inceptio autonomous driving system.
“As we reflect on a year of remarkable growth and groundbreaking milestones, from record-breaking deployments to the launch of cutting-edge vehicle platforms, it’s clear that with every kilometer driven and every delivery made, we are redefining what’s possible in logistics and paving the way for safer, more efficient and profitable operations,” added Ma.
