Germany-based SEA Datentechnik, a developer and system integrator for advanced RF and V2X test and measurement systems, is to partner with ZoX Technologie, which will operate as its regional integration partner for China and Taiwan.
“We are sure that the cooperation of our companies provides a high value for customers in southern Asia and Japan for the development, validation and production of actual and future V2X and connected car technologies” explained Gerd Schmitz, founder and CEO of SEA. “The combination of the wireless and test system experience of both companies with SEA V2X products and competence provides tailored best-in class solutions with quick access and fast reaction times in the region of ZoX for reasonable cost.”
Zox CEO Haowen Wang added, “ZoX is very glad to cooperate with SEA on V2X. ZoX and SEA started their technical cooperation already two years ago. ZoX is a professional NI partner [with a] focus on the wireless communication and RF application. We follow the technical roadmap of 3GPP from 3G until now.
“ZoX believes V2X will occupy a large market share of the vehicle industry. There is a huge vehicle market in China. The cooperation of ZoX and SEA expands the capability to serve the automotive suppliers, chipset vendors and other V2X users. We are ready to offer both open-loop and closed-loop test solutions from the scenario simulation to physical layer with SEA.”
According to the company, its compact, automated turnkey test systems enable the efficient and reliable testing of V2X technologies using scalable software and hardware components. The modular V2X test platform from SEA is based on software defined radio (SDR) technology and comprehends all aspects of automated V2X tests, from measurements on the physical layer for RF-compliance, through to protocol or production test, protocol level test as well as integrated V2X traffic scenario simulation for the test of V2X applications.
International V2X standards for North America, Europe and China are also supported for scenario-based testing by open-loop or closed-loop HIL systems. Test catalogs for specific test applications like RF-conformance measurements and V2X day 1 use case testing are available for efficient use of the flexible test systems.
