Sensor fusion business Baselabs is offering companies the chance to acquire its complete software IP in the field of environment perception for automated driving in ASIL D. Compared with the previous licensing model, purchasers of the IP will be able to use the software without any restrictions. The acquisition of the technologies can be partially or wholly exclusive.
Due to its high level of maturity, the company’s technology can be used in safety-critical applications for highly automated systems, including L4 vehicles and high-volume driver assistance applications.
The portfolio includes Baselabs Dynamic Grid, the company’s latest low-level sensor fusion technology, which is ready for series production and is suitable for high-resolution sensors and complex driving environments. Also included is Baselabs Create Embedded, a library optimized for embedded use, which can be acquired mainly for NCAP functions.
Each of the aforementioned products includes a complete development and validation infrastructure and all process artifacts required for use in series production.
“The outstanding customer feedback on our technologies over many years motivated us now to offer the model of ownership of our software IP requested by many market participants,” said Robin Schubert, managing director of Baselabs. “Buyers of our software will receive safety-certified technologies for the vehicles of tomorrow and thus increase the safety of automated traffic worldwide.”
