Bosch has announced that it will add the Ambarella CV3 artificial intelligence (AI) domain controller System on a Chip (SoC) range to its portfolio of highly efficient SoCs to enable next-generation ADAS functions.
At present, Bosch develops ADAS software stacks which require extremely efficient computing power and high-performance SoCs. Through the use of Ambarella’s CV3 products, the company will enable its customers to choose from a wide range of differing SoCs to best suit their own individual use case. The solution will also provide customers with a fast time-to-market solution that delivers excellent AI performance and scalability across a range of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) L2 to L4 applications.
The companies seek to speed up the introduction of economical and safe driving functions across a variety of vehicle types, in addition to providing support for deep learning-based transformer networks.
As Ambarella’s SoCs have a high computing power at a low power consumption, the products are well suited to use on board electric vehicles and for computing intensive ADAS applications.
