Mitsubishi Motors North America has equipped the 2024 Outlander with a range of safety features to protect both occupants and pedestrians and has been recognized as a 2023 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick.
The 2024 Outlander has rear automatic emergency braking (rear AEB) as a standard feature. This technology, along with rear cross traffic alert, assists drivers when reversing out of tight spaces, reducing the risk of collisions.
The 2024 model is equipped with an array of standard safety features across all trim levels, including forward collision mitigation (FCM); blind spot warning (BSW) with lane change assist (LCA); lane departure warning and prevention (LDW & LDP); driver attention alert; automatic high beam (AHB); hill descent control (HDC); and trailer stability assist (TSA). Additionally, select models have a multiview camera system for enhanced visibility.
Mitsubishi’s Mi-Pilot Assist, an advanced driver assistance system, integrates adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keep assist (LKA) and traffic sign recognition, and helps drivers maintain appropriate speed, following distance and lane positioning.
Mark Chaffin, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, said, “The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander showcases our commitment to protecting occupants and other road users. With features like automatic emergency braking and our super-all wheel control system, Mitsubishi Motors is dedicated to providing drivers with confidence and peace of mind.”
The 2024 Outlander also features Mitsubishi’s super-all wheel control all-wheel-drive system, designed to provide enhanced traction and stability in various driving conditions.
