Methodica Technologies is showcasing Peekaboo (P-Series) at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo California, its latest addition to data-driven development in autonomous, ADAS and system advancement.
As an in-built, one-stop solution for developing and testing ADAS and autonomous vehicles, the Peekaboo datalogger can log the resources and network components of self-driving vehicles, including camera, CAN, automotive ethernet (ETH), FlexRay, lidar and radar for ADAS and autonomous vehicles and measurement and HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) systems.
It can be customized to meet Tier 1/OEM specifications, particularly SerDes (FPD-Link/GMSL) and vehicle sensor interface (GPS/IMU/lidar). All signals are time synchronized through an FPGA/SoC/GPU platform processor and stored as specified storage, using an ADTF (Automotive Data and Time-Triggered Framework) streaming-based file library.
According to the company’s global managing director of embedded engineering, Vikram Verma, Peekaboo is a more cost-effective product than others in the market due to its ability to complete logging and reprocessing in a single system. “The system can capture multiple vehicle signals in frames, including camera, CAN, etc, which are then stored in an ADTF file format with high-precision accuracy and timestamp for time synchronization. At the same time, it can loop through all data re-transmitted and replaying from stored ADTF files.”
