Valens, a provider of ultra-high-speed in-vehicle connectivity, has unveiled an advanced automotive chipset technology for smart vehicle connectivity. According to the company, the chipset provides unprecedented data transmission speeds for connected and autonomous vehicles. The technology enables up to 16Gbps over simple wires and solves the industry need for high-speed connectivity for data-hungry devices and applications.
“This is a game-changing chipset technology for the automotive industry,” said Daniel Adler, vice president and head of automotive at Valens. “Valens continues to lead the way with unprecedented ultra-high-speed, multi-Gigabit in-vehicle connectivity solutions, enabling smarter vehicle architecture. From the outset, our goal has been to provide the most resilient solution for connectivity applications while reducing overall system costs, both in terms of infrastructure and software components. This chipset fulfills that goal.”
Valens’ smart vehicle connectivity technology guarantees zero data loss and real-time reaction for all sensors, cameras and other devices, ensuring safer vehicles. Further, by reducing the number of wires and connectors needed in the car, the chipset also enables a reduction in the weight of the vehicle – and thus fuel consumption.
