Kognic has expanded its data set management solution into Japan and the USA to increase its international presence.
Announced at Automotive World 2024, an exhibition for advanced automotive technologies in Tokyo, Kognic has expanded its new markets team with two experienced industry leaders, to meet growing demand for its solution.
Kognic’s data management platform tool is used in ADAS and autonomous driving, utilized by companies such as Qualcomm, Bosch, Continental and Zenseact.
Michael Stephan, a veteran AI/ML sales leader with over 15 years of experience in revenue growth and team building for tech businesses, has been appointed Kognic’s director of sales for America. Stephan brings a customer-centric, consultative approach to drive value and growth for clients and partners. His previous roles include VP sales at Retrocausal and senior positions at Alegion, Mighty AI (acquired by Uber), Accelerite, Blue Box Group and Onvia.
Kognic’s choice for the Japanese market was Tsuneki Kaiho, an international business development leader specializing in technologies, who has joined the company as sales executive in Tokyo. Kaiho’s prior experience as the country manager for Sensible 4 involved expanding business relationships within Japan and the Asia Pacific region for a Finnish self-driving technology company. His background also includes senior management roles at Boldly and SMT Automotive Global.
Daniel Langkilde, co-founder and CEO of Kognic, said “Expanding our team with some of the industry’s top talent, such as Michael and Tsuneki, will help us to accelerate growth, building upon the foundation we’ve already established in Europe. We look forward to making our data platform available to a broader international client base.”
