Changan Automobile’s UNI-T has made its worldwide debut, driving to the future with an L3 autonomous system.
The UNI-T comes equipped with an AI chip for a human-computer interactive experience. A bright screen with fatigue and facial recognition provides a more accurate human-computer interaction.
Once autonomous driving becomes a reality in China, Changan will fully introduce the L3 driving system into the UNI-T.
Initially, the driver will not need to continually keep their eyes on the road, and later, the driving experience will become hands- and feet-free.
Other features of the UNI-T include automated vehicle following, automated lane-changing and intelligent recommended lane changing.
The SUV is expected to be popular with young consumers, and the interior has an integrated dual 10.25in high-definition touchscreen and a simple button layout.
Changan says the horizontal shift handle, modeled on spaceships of the future, gives a scientific style mixed with advanced principles.
