Subaru has announced it is partnering with Onsemi to enhance the safety performance of its driver assistance technology.
Subaru will adopt Onsemi’s Hyperlux image sensor AR0823AT, with the aim of improving the recognition processing performance of its EyeSight system, which integrates stereo camera technology with AI inference.
The partnership will result in a custom design for the AR0823AT to capture visual data for AI processing. Through this collaboration, Subaru aims to refine its stereo camera recognition technology and incorporate it into the next-generation EyeSight system.
The Japanese company has set itself the goal of zero fatal road accidents by 2030. EyeSight is its advanced driver assistance system, which combines a host of features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, automatic emergency steering and others for safe motoring.
