ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo California – Silicon Valley’s leading event to accelerate and reinvent how society is moving – has opened in San Jose.
The event has returned to the McEnery Convention Center for two days of strategy and the latest developments in safety validation, ADAS/AV software and hardware, regulations, standards, testing tools, simulation platforms, sensors and systems.
Held August 28 and 29 this year, it is the annual opportunity to keep pace with the latest developments in ADAS and autonomous vehicle development.
Exhibition highlights
The end-to-end ADAS/AV ecosystem is on display at the free-to-attend exhibition, showcasing specialist suppliers such as aiMotive, with its software tooling products, aiSim and aiData, which are “redefining ADAS/AV simulation” with unparalleled realism and scenario diversity. Other exhibition highlights this year include an early access release of a new traffic virtualizer tool from dSPACE; Göpel electronic’s robotics setup of a robot with a haptic finger including sensors and a camera for optical verification; and Dewesoft’s cutting-edge sensor fusion platform.
After the expo closes, Imagry is offering free demo rides in an autonomous vehicle. These rides (Friday, August 30, from Imagry’s office, six miles from the Convention Center) will give expo attendees the chance to experience how its AI-based, lidar-free, HD mapless technology perceives the environment in real time and provides motion instructions to the vehicle.
The conference
During the event, conference delegates can hear about key issues, strategies and innovations and their implications for safe AD/ADAS development and deployment from SAE International, Volvo, Torc Robotics, Nuro, Plus, GM and Goodyear; and about challenges and innovations in AI and architecture from Microsoft, Wayve, IBM, dSPACE, May Mobility and Xylon. There will also be regulatory updates with presentations from the likes of California DMV, Waymo, Applied Intuition and Tier IV; and key components in the test and development toolchain, from Foretellix, Exponent, ETAS, Siemens Industry Software, Ontario Tech University, the University of Maryland and more.
Networking drinks party
Day 1 will be rounded off with a special networking drinks reception at 5:00pm, sponsored by ASAM.
