Cyngn Inc. has announced it is to use Nvidia AI computers to enhance the technology behind its fleet of DriveMod autonomous industrial vehicles. The company is transitioning from Intel microprocessors to Nvidia AI computers for its entire DriveMod line-up, including the DriveMod Tugger, DriveMod Stockchaser and DriveMod Forklift.
The decision to use AI computers is driven by the company’s goals to improve the efficiency and capabilities of its vehicles while reducing production costs. Nvidia’s computers, the company states, have high processing power and a development ecosystem that aligns with Cyngn’s aim to use robotic autonomous platforms.
Lior Tal, chairman and CEO of Cyngn, said, ” By integrating Nvidia’s computers into our vehicles, we will not only see a reduction in power consumption but also a significant decrease in cost as we streamline our DriveMod system.”
