Self-driving technology company Wayve has announced the appointment of Silvius Rus as the company’s new vice president of software. In his new position Rus will be responsible for leading Wayve’s software organization which is building Fleet Learning technology to train and deploy Wayve’s AI Driver software at scale.
Wayve will draw on Silvius’ knowledge in building large-scale and complex systems. In previous positions he has helped to deliver the platform software for Google’s complete datacenter compute infrastructure, including its machine learning and Cloud Infrastructure as a Service platform.
This expertise will help Wayve to build and further develop the software required to deploy its AI Driver, and to support the distributed machine learning workloads that are part of Wayve’s Fleet Learning. Silvius will be based at the company’s London office.
